Creekside Visual and Performing Arts

Our students receive instruction in visual and performing arts from their classroom teacher and demonstrate the skills they learn during play and operetta performances throughout the school year. These performances are held in our school multi-purpose room for student and parent audiences.

Dance Class

Creekside recognizes the importance of incorporating music and movement instruction in our Kindergarten curriculum. Once a week every kindergarten student receives music and movement instruction from Mrs. Rubio in our dance lab. Mrs. Rubio is a dance instructor at Alpine's RubiosFX Dance school and spends her afternoons in our dance lab teaching our students dances to improve their coordination and sense of rhythm. The movements used during these dance lessons are designed to help students increase their fine and large motor skills. An end of the year Kindergarten dance recital is held in our multi-purpose room for parents and extended family members.
